The tasks a Charge Hand, Rack Wiring (Telephone Equipment) Manufacturing is expected to perform include:
Instructing and directing Operators, Rack-wiring, in assembling and erecting different kinds of selector racks, relay set racks, etc
Organizing and distributing work among operators within sections and filling in time cards
Checking sequence of work performed by different operators, detecting and removing faults and ensuring that wiring is done according to circuit diagrams
Instructing and training operators and ensuring their general efficiency
Recording number of persons supervised and ability to detect and rectify faults in wiring
